Pricing for product design and development
Prices last reviewed
A one-week coded prototype is a fixed $4,900. A full web or mobile build starts at $19,000 and takes four to six weeks. Ongoing product work is from $7,900 a month. Every price includes VAT, and every project gets a written scope with a fixed total before any work starts.
Three engagements at a glance
| Engagement | Price | Duration | Best when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Prove it | Fixed $4,900 | One week | You need to see the idea working before committing to a full build. |
| Ship it | From $19,000 | Four to six weeks | The product is decided and needs to be live in your users' hands. |
| Grow it | From $7,900 / month | Month to month | The product is live and needs to keep improving every week. |
All prices are in US dollars and include VAT. Where a price says “from”, the final total depends on the agreed scope, not on an added tax. The written scope states one number, and that number is what you pay.

What is included
- Designed and built by the same people. Nothing gets lost in between.

Your product keeps getting better. Every week.
What is included
- Reserved product capacity throughout the month
- One clear product priority at a time
- Design and development move together
- Something meaningful ships every week
- Direct communication with the people doing the work
- Major new products and complex integrations are scoped separately
- Stay while it is useful. Leave any month.
What every price includes
- VAT. Prices on this site include applicable VAT. The price shown at checkout or agreed in the written scope is the total you pay; no VAT is added on top.
- A written scope and a fixed total. Nothing starts until deliverables, timing, and price are in writing. Changes are agreed in writing too, and may change the price or timeline.
- Ownership. Once the fees for a deliverable are paid in full, the designs and the source code written for you are yours to use, modify, and distribute without restriction.
- Thirty days of defect fixes. For 30 days after launch, defects in our own work are fixed at no charge.
- The prototype credit. The full Prove it fee is credited against a build that starts within 60 days of the prototype being delivered.
Ownership in detail: who owns the code.
How payment works
- Prove it. A one-off payment made in advance through Stripe Checkout. The contract is formed when Stripe confirms payment; we confirm a start date within one working day.
- Ship it. Paid in three steps: at the start, at design sign-off, and at launch. Unless the written scope says otherwise, that is 50%, 25%, and 25%. Invoices go through Stripe.
- Grow it. Renews monthly and is billed in advance until cancelled. You can cancel any time through the Stripe customer portal; it takes effect at the end of the current paid month.
The full terms are in the Terms of Use, sections 3 to 5.
What moves a “from” price
Ship it and Grow it are quoted from a starting figure because the work differs from product to product. The written scope fixes the number before we begin. The things that move it:
- How many platforms ship in the first release: web only, or web plus iOS and Android.
- How many critical workflows the first release has to cover, and how many screens each needs.
- Integrations with payment, identity, or third-party systems.
- Whether a marketing site and measurement are part of the same release.
- How many decisions are already made. A prototype week usually lowers the build quote.
What is not in the price
- User recruitment and formal usability testing during the prototype week.
- Third-party services, software, fonts, and libraries, which stay under their own licences.
- Major new products and complex integrations during a monthly engagement; these are scoped separately.
- Changes and fixes after the 30-day defect period; a monthly engagement covers those.
Questions about price and terms
How much does product design and development cost?
A one-week prototype is a fixed $4,900. A full build starts at $19,000. Ongoing monthly work starts at $7,900 per month. All prices include VAT — no VAT is added on top. Every project gets a written scope with a fixed total before any work starts.
How long does a project take?
A prototype takes one week. A full build takes four to six weeks. Monthly engagements run open-ended and can be ended any month. You get the written scope and a fixed date within two days of the intro call.
Who owns the designs and the source code?
You do. Once the fees for a deliverable are paid in full, the designs and the source code written for you are yours to use, modify, and distribute without restriction. Third-party libraries, fonts, and software stay under their own licences.
What happens if something breaks after launch?
We fix defects in our own work at no charge for 30 days after launch. Past that, a month-to-month engagement covers ongoing changes and fixes.
What if we are not sure what to build yet?
Start with the one-week prototype. You get one critical workflow as a coded product experience with real behavior, not a Figma mockup, plus a concise recommendation on what to build next. If you begin a build within 60 days, the fee is credited in full.
